Introducing Hyaline
Have you ever wondered whether your power company is any good at their job? Or asked whether a new power plant is actually necessary, and when would it be finished anyway?
Every year, billions of dollars change hands in our energy and power sectors. And it mostly goes unnoticed. A given plant changes hands, and the only thing that seems different is the logo on the website, but somebody wanted to buy it, and someone wanted to sell it.
The power generation industry is an exclusive club, and information about it is hard to come by. So hard that it can seem impossible to know even basic things, like whether a plant actually makes money, and who does it make money for. Hyaline Industries aims to answer these questions.
The information is out there, but it's scattered, and fragmented in thousands of locations, under different names and different subsidiaries. But at Hyaline, we are building the tools needed to find hard, reliable information about the assets and operators who make the power system work, and to make that information available.
As we go along, we plan to share some of our insights and the tools that we have built here. So, if you're curious about how electricity actually works, follow along with us here!
